WHO IS MIKE FRATUS?
(HINT: HE'S ALWAYS THE BIG ONE IN THE PICTURES BELOW.)
Mike Fratus is a gentle giant. He is usually first noticed because he is 6' 8", but soon it's apparent that his heart is even bigger. Mike is kind, thoughtful, strong and funny. He can't drive by a grammar error without commenting on it (don't blame him for any on this page though!), and his vocabulary is outrageous. Kids and animals trust him instinctively and if there is a dog in the vicinity it will soon find him (and frequently sit on his feet.) Kids will go anywhere with him, often being happily carried on his broad shoulders. Just ask his three nephews about Uncle Mike, they'll tell you, he's the best.
Mike also fly fishes, snowboards, hikes, mountain bikes, reads everything he can get his hands on, watches Boston sports teams and crushes Jeopardy questions and not too long ago decided to become fluent in Spanish (almost there!). He's climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and wrestled elk in Idaho. OKAY, we're exaggerating on that last one.
Mike lives in Boston, MA (reluctantly, he'd rather be in the woods, but we have GREAT hospitals here in town... and Fenway Park). For over 20 years Mike has worked as a mover and crane operator, helping many through a bad day with his strength, skill and patience.
